From PhonePilot to Verus – A journey towards the ultimate meeting booking solution

In 2003, three young computer science students approached Tele-Mark with a desire to develop a digital solution that could handle all the critical processes in the company. Their vision was to create a system that could optimize everything from project and item management to time registration and invoicing.

They were very well received, and a collaboration agreement was quickly reached. The result was the prototype for PhonePilot. A few years later, Martin Kjær, one of the three developers, launched the finished version of PhonePilot. The software was groundbreaking and probably the first dedicated solution for the telemarketing industry with a 100% focus on B2B meeting booking.

In retrospect, it is probably one of the most crucial strategic decisions Tele-Mark A/S has made, and it has had the greatest impact on the company’s current market position and strength.

Unfortunately, PhonePilot had to close far too early due to Martin Kjær’s untimely death in 2020. This forced Tele-Mark A/S to rethink the solution, resulting in a completely newly developed platform with improved features.

Today we call the solution “Verus.” The word comes from Latin and means “true” or “genuine.” It is often used to describe something that is honest, authentic, and trustworthy. In classical Latin, “Verus” could also be used more broadly to denote something that is correct or in accordance with reality.

Verus is a highly advanced, yet incredibly simple and intuitive software solution for employees and companies who work professionally with meeting booking. The foundation is our serious and professional experience with BtB meeting booking since 1989, added with all the relevant elements that technological advances over time have made it possible to add to make the solution even better.

Over the years, we have worked with several other systems, primarily when our customers have invested in the standard solutions available on the market and asked us to work in them. However, experience has consistently shown that our contact agents prefer Verus. When we ask why, the answers often point to Verus’ strong functionality, which is specifically targeted at efficient meeting booking.

Although Verus is designed with a 100% focus on B2B meeting booking, the solution can also be used extremely effectively for B2C meeting booking and other telemarketing disciplines.
