8.2 years average employment at Tele-Mark A/S

8.2 years of average employment at Tele-Mark A/S, according to LinkedIn – is that the highest in the industry?

LinkedIn has a Premium feature that shows insights about companies. This includes the average tenure of current and former employees who can be found on LinkedIn.

We note, as the picture from LinkedIn shows, that at Tele-Mark A/S we have an average employment period of 8.2 years. A number that we work hard to maintain and increase every day, as experienced employees have a very high influence on the results we create for and together with our customers. In fact, we cannot see anything that has the same high importance. Therefore, it is one of our absolutely most important focus areas, and a value that the customers who choose us value very highly.

Extensive experience is probably important in most industries and companies. In ours, there are certainly countless benefits: The experienced know when a conversation should end; The experienced employees deliver the right results faster when a new customer starts; The experienced employees do not upset the decision-makers on the other end of the phone; The experienced employees understand that customers do not drive to the other end of the country for “fun”. The experienced employees are simply better at identifying and reaching the right decision-makers; The experienced ensure that the learning curve for new employees is steeper; The experienced have much better control over geography and calendar; and certainly much more. It is certainly true, as the golfer Gary Player once said, “The more I practice, the luckier I get”.

So what does it look like for the industry?

We have allowed ourselves to do a little unscientific competitor research on that particular number, simply to see what the norm is among what we consider to be the other serious players in the market. The average tenure here is 2.4 years. In and of itself, a great number, considering the reputation of the industry.
